Agents & automation: what runs on its own
The mental model for working with Atlas agents, what they do autonomously, what always waits for your approval, and how to stay in control.
Atlas agents work for you, not instead of you. They read your data, do the thinking, and prepare the work, but anything that touches the outside world waits for a human tap. This is the line that keeps automation safe: agents draft freely and ship only on approval.
What agents do on their own#
- Read your connected sources (orders, customers, campaigns) and keep a shared picture of the brand.
- Watch for signals, a churn risk, a ranking drop, an abandoned cart window, and surface them.
- Draft the work: a flow, an audience, a brief, a budget proposal, ready for you to review.
- Brief each other: Alexia routes a request to the right director, who delegates to specialists.
What always waits for you#
Every action that leaves Atlas is approval-gated. Sending a flow live, syncing an audience to your email platform, changing ad spend, issuing a reward, none of it happens until you tap Approve. You see exactly what will happen before it does, and every approval is recorded in the audit trail.
Staying in control#
Your role sets the autonomy. An owner can let an action run directly; anyone else’s outbound action parks on the approval queue for an owner to review. You can always read the agent’s reasoning, edit the draft, or decline, the proposal is a starting point, never a fait accompli.
Agents prepare everything and decide nothing that leaves the building. You hold the last tap.
